Welcome to Perspectives online. Perspectives is divided into categories that are accessed by clicking the buttons immediately below the Perspectives button. These categories include articles on landscape Design, History, Preservation, Book Reviews and Travel and Opinion.
We are periodically republishing Articles from our past publications. These include interviews with Landscape Designer Julie Moir Messervy and landscape architect Martha Schwartz under Design. A 1996 Preservation Case Study of Boston's Commonwealth Mall is under the Preservation tab.
Under History, NELDHA member Thomas Mickey previews his new book America's Romance with the English Garden. You will also find a Presnet report on its May 2012 tour, a book review by Rose Marques on What a Plant Knows and an insightful report on the recent Dumbarton Oaks Colloquium on Beatrix Farrand by Amy Murphy.
Perspectives is NELDHA's on-line professional publication that presents timely and relevant articles on landscape design, history and preservation, with a special emphasis on New England landscapes.
Perspectives began as a publication of the Student Chapter of the Boston Society of Landscape Architecture at the Radcliffe Seminars in Landscape Design. In the spring 2013, Perspectives debuted as an online publication available to the public. Corresponding with our professional networks, our publication is divided into sections: Design, History and Preservation (PresNet). You will also find sections on Book Reviews and Travel and Opinion.
We invite you to share your writing and research in our publication. For more information, contact Info@neldha.org.
Volumes 13.3, 16 through 25 are available here in PDF format.
